Hey Ivannation, with all the new developments happening around Resorts World Genting. I cant help but check out all the fun activities and food which they have to offer! DO check out my other Genting post which I talked about all the amazing rides which I rode and more.
Resorts World Genting is the only resort in Malaysia that allows visitors to enjoy a variety of attractions at 6,000 feet above sea level with cool weather ranging from 14 to 22 degrees daily.
We departed from Golden Mile Complex at about 6am in the morning. After a 6 hour journey we finally reached out destination, Resorts World Genting and we were starving. But the weather felt great and we were all ready to go.
We followed out stomachs and cravings and we found this amazing little place called The Laughing Fish. They specialize in Fish and chips, and this place and its exterior is a photo spot to whose who loves to take snaps.
The famous Laughing Fish is world famous especially in the UK. I really do recommend you to try their Cod Fish and Chips and pair them with Vinegar. While you are there don’t forget to order their lemonade that comes in a fun fish glass.
With our bellies filled with fishes, we return to our hotel, Theme Park Hotel.
The rooms are designed in a cute Tatami-style where the beds are on a raised platform. The platform itself holds many tricks, your luggage all goes into the slots and there is even a safe hidden to store all your valuables. As for the design of the room itself everything reminds me of the home a certain cartoon character.
They may no longer have a hotel restaurant but there is a grab and go F&B outlet named Eatopia. It is a place for you to either grab and munch along the way or seat and view their back garden as you enjoy your coffee with a muffin or even a nasi lemak. (Their chili is good)
After exploring the Skytropolis Indoor park, we wanted to munch a little. So as we were walking around we saw this place, WanHoi Yamcha that serves dim sum in the cutest shapes! Their prices range around RM12.50 to RM15.50 each. They are not only cute but delicious as well. This cute ones are filled with Red Bean, Milk Custard, Lotus and Egg Yolk paste, Salted Egg Custard and BBQ Pork.
So with our cravings settled we went up another two floor of the Sky Avenue and head towards The Awana Skyway. With 99 gondolas it has the ability to carry 3000 passengers every hour. It also gives you a bird’s eye view of the 130-million-year-old rainforest that surrounds this beautiful city. (Taking the Glass Gondolas allows you to cut queue). While riding the
glass gondolas we manage to take a sneek peek at the progress of the outdoor theme park.
So after shopping at the Genting Highland premium outlet center, our legs are tired and hungry once again. Well I was craving for Italian so we headed back to the Sky Avenue and dined at Motorino. Their Large Pizzas are all made fresh to order and cooked in a special wood-fired oven.
After food and while the night is still young, we wanted to explore the night scene a little. Located at the Zouk Atrium, Level G of SkyAvenue, you can find Red Tail by Zouk and Zouk. Red Tail is a bar that offers a variety of games such as Giant Beer Pong, Giant Jenga, fusball and even electronic games machines.
But if you are like me and prefer singing. Then RedTail karaoke is the place for you with six rooms adorned with fun mascots such as Steve the drum-playing gorilla, Eddy the saxophone-playing panda and Joe the break dancing flamingo. Again this is another HUGE photo worthy spot! (checkout their toilet as well)
In true Zouk fashion of having separate areas to cater for different tastes, Empire will be dedicated to hip hop. It will also be perfect for a private party for anyone looking to throw a blowout for up to 500 people with a bar and 20 tables. A 20 feet long LED screen takes centre stage to illuminate the club behind the DJ console which will host the best DJs in the world including guest DJs from Zouk Singapore. Global leaders LEDs Control who have played a part in clubs worldwide created the massive piece to make the club a visual feast.
