Hey Ivannation,

We are almost a month away to Chinese New Year! Are you ready to fill your grumpy tummy and pig out? Here is my top 5 Chinese New Year goodies I am really craving for!

YuSheng @parkhotelclarkequay

What is Chinese New Year without tossing of the YuSheng and shouting at the top of our lungs out festive words of bleesing? It is a Chinese tradition to Lo Hei every new year! Now let your mouth water away.

Hot-pot @haixianlao

I love to have hot-pot during the reunion dinner with my family. If you are out of budget for Haidilao, you can try out haixianlao! You get to select up to 3 soup bases! Choose from the every favourite Mala broth, to flavours like Laksa, Tom Yum, and Chicken Broth. One of their highlights is their thick and wonderful collagen soup.

To those who dare not or can’t take spice I would highly suggest for you to try the tomato based soup! It was so wonderful!

Black Pepper crab @banleongwahhoe

Isit just me, but I really like to eat Black pepper and Chilli Crab during Chinese New Year! I know right, a really weird craving! I recommend you to try out the crabs at Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood.

Pineapple tarts are a must eat during the Chinese New Year season. Just wondering, do you like the pineapple jam filling be inside the cookie or outside? I prefer the ones that are inside like the photo above.

Last but not least, I love this traditional Hakka dish called “Suan Pan Zi”. Not many places in Singapore sells this dish so it is usually cooked at home. Suan Pan Zi is made of yam, it is surprisingly not sweet but very savory!

I bet your mouth is watering already! Let’s tahan a while more and enjoy all these goodies! Thanks for reading this blog!
