Sometimes I just want a quick getaway. I called it my mini-staycation. A hotel that is not too expensive where I can just hide in there and nap away. A quick recharge. So, Last weekend I happen to find myself at Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard.
Before you even enter the hotel, you are greeted with the beautiful greenery crawling up the side of building. I am kinda sucker for such things. Haha, don’t judge. Greenery on buildings just spells relax to me.
After the simple and quick check-in I ran up to my room and leaped onto the bed. There is just something about hotel beds that just makes you sink in. As I was just lazing and rolling around on my bed something caught my eye, SNACKS!!!!! And there were drinks as well. It is complimentary and loaded up everyday.
Simple yet convenient storage system, with the safe on top and a fridge below. Mirror on the side of door. For those of you who are like me that tends to forget things they provide all the necessary things needed for hygiene. Which is great, as some express hotels don’t provide and I always tend to forget that one thing. For my international travelers they have a smart phone beside the television to help you with your stay here in Singapore.
Here is just a simple comparison of the breakfast/chill area just behind the front desk. Morning breakfast can get feel squeezy at times.
But hey complimentary breakfast. They provide a good balance between carbs, cakes/pastries and meat. Salad and fruits as usual. Besides the normal eggs, sausage and ham, They do provide local dishes for our international travelers to taste and experience.
Now, this I like. They provide a simple gym which is great enough for a simple workout. They also have a laundry room for you to wash and dry your clothes. One HUGE plus point is that their prices are cheaper than other places.
The rooms are an average of $200 a night which is great, for a express hotel at orchard road. Walking distance to everything! So I will definitely come back.
